Procrastination Promises...

I hereby promise to acknowledge my procrastination problems. As a proprietor of procrastination, I would like to break free from poor habits and try to keep things updated on here for your viewing pleasure. That is all...but for now, a quick teaser of things to come!

Just a Month!!!

I can't believe there's only a month to go....so exciting!!
Here's a quick look at some of the things we did to kick off the first week of the last month:

On Day 30 we enjoyed sweet treats together (you can't tell how good they were in this picture...because we ate them too quickly), we ran a bunch of wedding errands, and I went to a dress fitting...but I can't put those pictures on here, because that would make Jordan a cheater if he got to see it...so we'll save him from that!

Just look at Jordan whip those invitations together...he makes such nice creases...

Jordan and I went to the Bridal Fair and scored some sweet fun deals from it, including an awesome trip to Park City just for listening to what felt like a live infomercial about their cookware, a free hair-do, and some good food.

...And it looks like you can't see the number on the book I'm holding...so we can just pretend...

The 29th day was VERY EXCITING!!! Jordan, my real life prince, got to play Prince Philip (ironically enough his real first name IS Philip!!!) and I played Princess Aurora again for a fundraiser for the re-opening of a theater company I used to perform with. They put on a really fun carnival at an Elementary school complete with real Princes and Princesses...isn't Prince Philip a hottie?

...Out for a nice afternoon with all of my princess friends...

...Kids of all ages got to come and enjoy...

...And even Princes and Princesses can help clean up.......We loved deflating the jump houses...
On the 28th day, Prince Philip got a countdown surprise in his room....I made a link for each day until the wedding with a special thought, memory, or inside joke on each one and plastered his wall with pictures of us! He's having fun tearing one off each day, and sometimes calls/texts me in the morning to comment on what that link said... :)

On the 27th day, we did lots of fun things, including church, marriage prep class, good food, and going to a devotional where this amazing Cuban convert spoke....but we forgot to take a picture...so instead, I'm showing you this amazing yam I got from the "Buy-Low Market"...it looks just like a human heart...it's completely anatomically correct...aorta, apex, and everything!!! Isn't that neat?! I should put it on e-bay.... but for now it will represent our two hearts becoming one....one big anatomically correct heart with amazing nutritional value...that beats for love....

The 26th day was so much fun...Jordan got to meet my long-time friends, Audrey and Andy, and we had a great double date! We had amazing Cafe Rio-style burritos and salads that Audrey made and carved pumpkins....H is for Hastings...there was a little confusion about how to cut out the 6 for the 26, but in the end, it wasn't anything that a properly placed toothpick couldn't solve...Happy Fall!

Let the Countdown Begin!!!

Jordan and I are so excited to start our lives together as husband and wife…and it’s coming up faster and faster everyday!!! To make sure that we’re making the best of it, and remembering this oh so special time in our lives, we’ve begun a picture countdown…so ready or not world….here the Hastings come!

We started off our countdown with the Big 5-0…for our quick date before the BYU football game that day we scampered up the Y to make Jordan a true Cougar (Well, sort of…I teased him that to be a true coug fan, you have to kiss on the Y by the light of the full moon…and since the game started before dark, it looks like we’ll be climbing it again!)…unbeknownst to Jordan, I whooped out my huge 5-0 as a sweet unsuspecting freshman girl took the pic…hooray for being engaged…hooray for countdowns…hooray for adventures in love! …Over the next couple of days we enjoyed a wonderful general conference together…

…Enjoying our favorite Brighton favorite, La Cocina, leftovers after the Priesthood Session…

And the most amazing thing ever happened! We planned on going early for the Sunday afternoon session and standing in the stand-by line with our friends, Lindsey and Drew, but then two wonderful theater friends paid my two tickets I gave them to last April’s conference forward!

We lucked out and all got in to enjoy a fantastic session together! So powerful!

It seems like we hit the ground running since we got engaged…my mind has been full of dresses, flowers, cakes, linens, lovey-dovey music, invitations, all things shimmery, and the colors chocolate brown, deep red, plum, and warm coral…
So here’s one of them…the “doo-doo” brown…hehemmm…I mean chocolate brown tuxes all my handsome men will be in.

Jordan’s such a trooper ;)

“No, Jordan…try to hold it up to your head like you’re wearing it….yeah! Now smile!!!”
Thanks sugar!

On the 45th day… (we skipped a few…in fact, we skipped a few fews after the next one) we experienced our very first Christmas Mall Decorations together. Anybody that knows me knows that I get a little over-excited for anything Christmas…especially the first holiday sightings…so here’s to having many more firsts!
